Style Love: Audrey Hepburn

The first thing that a person finds out about me once they meet me is my love for Audrey Hepburn. Ever since my sister sat me down to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s when I was nine I was infatuated with her. Her effortless style inspired me since then and has been something I have strived to also have. Audrey was the first person I was introduced to that got me interested in fashion as not only a way to clothe yourself, but as a way to let your personality exude onto each part of your person including what you choose to wear.

Not only is Audrey Hepburn a renowned style icon, but she also did many more admirable things as a person. As I grew up I began to learn about her devotion to UNICEF and the work with them she did to help children. Audrey He began to be someone that I not only personally looked up to for her gorgeous style, but also as a person. Someone who once tried to better the world in ways she could simply because she knew it was the right thing to do.

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it's all that matters.”
- Audrey Hepburn

Outfit: Warm Winters Day

First outfit of 2016…and also in a while. Both life and school managed to get in the way of my foray into the fashion blogging world, but this year I plan on making The Pixie Hulk a priority. Plus seeing as the winter and I tend to disagree, as the weather became colder my outfits became a little less blog worthy. Though an impromptu trip to Saint George, Utah remedied that. 52 degrees and sunny definitely agreed with me and gave me a newfound sense of motivation. I was able to break out some fall clothes again.

Bowler Hat: H&M  Sweater: Old Navy  Fox Top: Old Navy  Black Tie: Forever 21 (Attached to Shirt)  Belt: Old Navy Skirt: Modcloth Socks: Target Flats: H&M

One thing I adore when it comes to fashion is neckwear and I do not own nearly enough. My favorite types are lady versions of bow ties and collar clips. It broke my heart when Flapper Girl on Etsy went on hiatus last year, sadly I was only able to acquire one of her vintage inspired lady ties. Though I do digress, neckwear just tends to add an extra feeling of completeness to a lot of outfits in my opinion. In my opinion it’s something that is glossed over from time to time, but is a valuable and fun addition to an outfit.

(Bonus photograph in the gorgeous National Park down here Zion, I think Leslie Knope has much to be proud of.)
